Week in Review – Confirmation process; presidential debate; Election DayΒ Β
This week in the pro-life movement saw a continuation of the major discussions at the national level and a major announcement from American Life League.
The effort to place Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court continues to move along. This week, Judge Barrett was meeting with members of the United States Senate to answer any questions they have. The Republicans in the Senate continue to move ahead with the confirmation hearings that are scheduled to begin this Monday, October 12. The initial hearings are with the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has 22 members (12 Republicans and 10 Democrats). The Judiciary Committee will vote by October 22 whether or not to send the nomination to the full Senate. The full Senate will then consider the nomination and may have a final vote as early as October 29. The Democrats are opposing the nomination and are reportedly doing whatever they can to stall the votes.
We reported last week on a possible effort to βstack the courtβ if the Democrats take control of the presidency, the Senate, and the House as a result of next monthβs elections. Biden refused to answer a question about that in the presidential debate and Harris also refused to answer a direct question on this in this weekβs vice-presidential debate.
The only vice-presidential debate occurred this week. Unlike the presidential debate, abortion was a topic of discussion with both sides clearly stating their positions. Vice-president Pence clearly talked about the Republican ticketβs opposition to abortion and dedication to pro-life principles in all areas of the governmentβincluding government funding. Senator Harris made it clear that the Democrats support abortion, saying (at the 1:00:21 mark), βThere’s the issue of choice, and I will always fight for a woman’s right to make a decision about her own body.β She ignores, of course, the scientific fact that the child inside a pregnant woman is not part of her body, but is a separate body.
American Life League made an announcement this week about a major victory brought about by the thousands who have joined the Marian Blue Wave over the last year. After decades of fighting Planned Parenthood and pointing out the racist nature of its founder, Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood has finally admitted the truthβit is a racist, white supremacist organization.
Surprisingly, it not only admitted its founder was a racist, but also said that it is a racist organization today. In a webinar, The Tide is Turning: A Pro-life Victory, ALL presented a half-dozen statements from different Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country admitting to their current racism. The pro-life movement has been documenting the racism of PP for decades. Planned Parenthood has always defended itself and accused pro-lifers of lying. As the webinar pointed out, that battle is now over. Planned Parenthood is admitting it is, today, a racist organizationβfounded by a racist woman.
We encourage all our readers to watch the 76-minute video and learn, for yourself exactly what Planned Parenthood affiliates have said. When you finish the video, please join thousands of others from over 31 countries in the growing Marian Blue Wave.
ALL in the News – Racist Planned Parenthood Exposed in Marian Blue Wave Webcast; ALL Weekly Videos and Shows Continue to Reach Thousands
On Wednesday night, the Marian Blue Wave team hosted an anniversary webcast with a special announcement. The webcast, The Tide is Turning β A Pro Life Victory, aired at 9 pm and featured special guest Bishop Joseph Strickland of the diocese of Tyler, TX. During the webcast, the Marian Blue Wave team emphasized the importance of using the Rosary as our main weapon in the fight to end abortion and Planned Parenthood. The special announcement was that after only nine months and over 100,000 Rosaries being said by Marian Blue Wave Prayer Partners, Planned Parenthood affiliates admitted publicly over six times that they are currently a white supremacist and racist organization. This shattering announcement is expected to change the way the world looks at known racist organization, Planned Parenthood. You can view the replay of the webcast here. The webcast ended with a renewed goal of 300,000 Rosaries being said within the next year. To accomplish this, Marian Blue Wave director Katie Brown asked each viewer to sign up two new people as participants in the Marian Blue Wave. You can sign up here.
Every Friday afternoon, the American Life League social media team, Dwain Currier and Katie Brown, host the Friday Live Show on Instagram Live. Last Friday, the duo discussed βCatholicβ Joe Biden, and his lack of financial support for his Church. This weekβs show will premiere this afternoon on American Life Leagueβs Instagram account. Replays of the show can be found on Facebook.
Last week, American Life League vice president, Hugh Brown, was interviewed by political commentator and former presidential candidate Alan Keyes. Linked here is a clip of their interview, where they discuss the current political climate in America. The full interview will appear on the show βLetβs Talk America with Alan Keyesβ.
Judie Brownβs bi-weekly commentaries were each distributed to an expansive media list this week. The list contains over 100 media outlets, such asΒ Fox News,Β The Federalist,Β Breitbart, andΒ The Daily Caller, among others. Judieβs Tuesday commentary,Β Trump, Babies, and Malevolence, reached nearly 5,000 people on ALLβs Facebook account. Each commentary is also featured as a part of Judieβs recurring column onΒ Renew America.
Jim SedlakβsΒ Pro-Life Activism from Creation to DeathΒ is a weekly talk-radio program on theΒ Radio Maria USA network. The show can be heard live every Friday at noon (Eastern Time) and is repeated on Saturdays (10 PM). Action Item of the Week – A major Planned Parenthood admission means nothing unless you act.
American Life League conducted a webinar this week that documents the fact that Planned Parenthood is now admitting to being racist! You can watch it here.
The argument over whether or not Planned Parenthood is a racist organization, founded by a racist Margaret Sanger, is over!
But . . . Planned Parenthoodβs admissions will mean nothing unless the American people know about it. You can bet none of the major media will cover it. The job of spreading the message and informing the public is oursβyours and mine.
You can find documentation of the statements of seven different Planned Parenthood affiliates on the Marian Blue Wave website.
These statements are from seven separate affiliates that operate in a total of 10 states. As you will see on the list, typical admissions include:
- Margaret Sangerβs concerns and advocacy for reproductive health have been clearly documented, but so, too, has her racist legacy.
- We must confront how white supremacy of the past and present continue in the institutions we are a part of todayβincluding our own organization.
- We are owning our organizationβs history and are committed to addressing the implicit bias and structural racism that continues to exist within our organization.
- We acknowledge that our organization . . .is not exempt from structural racism and white supremacy.
Please take the time to read the statements from all seven affiliates and then take action.
Recommended actions:
- We are building a list of activists who want to expose Planned Parenthoodβs racism. To be added to the list, e-mail me at jsedlak@all.org. We will keep you up to date on developments and information as we add additional PP affiliateβs statements.
- We want to get the word out using local Christian radio stations.
- Use the information we send you and be a guest on your local radio station to talk about racist Planned Parenthood. Remember, you are not accusing PP of racism, you are reporting that they have admitted to being a racist organization.
- If you want us to get on a station in your area, please e-mail us (jsedlak@all.org or kbrown@all.org) the name of your local station and a host or contact person for the station.
- Write letters to the editor of local or national news publications, or sites, and quote Planned Parenthoodβs admission of being racist.
- Speak up at your local pro-life meetings and gatherings and make sure everyone in your area knows about Planned Parenthoodβs racist admissions.
- Join the Marian Blue Wave to help bring more victories and more admissions.
- Discuss it at Thanksgiving dinner! Planned Parenthoodβs racist admissions should be one of the things we are thankful for this year.
We need to understand that if we do not each expose these admissions by Planned Parenthood, they will remain unknown by most of America.
Be BOLD.
Pro-life Social Media – 2020 didnβt stop pro-life advocates from participating in βLife Chainβ
2020 didnβt stop pro-life advocates from participating in βLife Chain,β an annual pro-life event where participants stand along streets and sidewalks holding pro-life signs. In fact, social distancing helps stretch the lines much longer. Below are some highlights we found on Instagram of last weekβs annual event.
