Week in Review – Media Creates Confusion on Ectopic Pregnancies; Parents Fight Back against PP in Norwalk, CA
The media seems intent on creating hysteria and confusion about the Dobbs case. In the latest trend, the media is treating an ectopic pregnancy the same as abortion violence, with even Planned Parenthood adding to the misinformation.
To be clear, treating an ectopic pregnancy by removing the diseased fallopian tube is not an abortion. As Fr. Howard, director of the American Bioethics Advisory Commission, puts it, it is known as the Doctrine of Double Effect.
The presence of an ectopic pregnancy may result from a tubal disorder or cause the fallopian tube to be pathological. In all cases, all actions must be analyzed according to intention, means, and end. If any of these three are immoral, the act itself is immoral.
Using the Thomistic Principle of Totality (removal of a pathological part to preserve the life of the person) and the Doctrine of Double Effect, the only moral action in an ectopic pregnancy where a woman’s life is directly threatened is the removal of the tube containing the human embryo. The death of the human embryo is unintended although foreseen. Put another way, if there were a way to save both lives, which, of course, are of equal value, one would be obliged morally to do so. At this time, this is not possible.
However, there is another common way hospitals have come to treat ectopic pregnancies, and this is immoral as it includes opening the fallopian tube only to violently suction out the forming baby.
It is acknowledged that it has become commonplace even in Catholic hospitals to open the tube and “suction out the human embryo” or administer methotrexate either via mouth or laparoscopy. Both of these procedures directly attack an innocent human life and are intrinsically immoral and never can be justified. In fact, they violate the Fifth Commandment, which under all circumstances prohibits a direct attack on innocent human life. There are absolutely no exceptions to the Fifth Commandment as described.
There is a very important distinction between these types of procedures. Fr. Howard states, while removing the tube containing the human embryo results in the death of a human being, as does suctioning out the human embryo or administration of methotrexate, one cannot ethically conclude that all the actions have the same intended end result. The reason for this is that the “means” used to accomplish the “end” are not the same.

Parents in Norwalk, California, are fighting back on Planned Parenthood’s sick agenda.
This week, STOPP reported that hundreds of parents gathered at Norwalk’s John Glenn High School board meeting to protest a proposed Planned Parenthood clinic in the high school.
In the latest STOPP Report, it was disclosed that the high school in question, John Glenn, has a minority enrollment of 98 percent, with 79 percent of them being economically disadvantaged. As STOPP points out, this is exactly the target Planned Parenthood likes to hit.
Attorney Ryan Heath told Fox News that the clinic could provide services “including gender-affirming care, birth control administration and IUD implantation all without parental consent.”
The plans for the clinic are now on hold, thanks to the hundreds of parents who voiced their opinions.

Pro-life Social Media – Planned Parenthood Solicits Answers to What Qualities in a Person are ‘Deal Breakers’
The business of killing babies is Planned Parenthood’s top priority, which can only be cultivated by an attitude of freewheeling, self-indulgent promiscuity. For women to buy Planned Parenthood’s services, Planned Parenthood must convince women to strip themselves of any sense of self-worth. Perhaps this is why marriages between conservative partners are more satisfying than liberal ones.
You will not find any valuable relationship advice on Planned Parenthood’s website, and yet it felt the need to dip into the waters of relationships:
What’s your #1 relationship deal breaker?

Murdering preborn children permanently breaks mother-child relationships, but that isn’t what the abortion corporation is gunning for.
Republican, Libertarian, "not political," or refused to vote for Hillary because, "I'm fine with a woman president, but she's just not likable." I'd rather be single & celibate for the rest of my life.
