A recent event in the South Dakota legislature reminds all of us that factual information about when life begins is the last thing proponents of abortion want anyone to know.
Giving morning after pills to victims of sexual assault made the abortion crowd nervous and they withdrew a legislative proposal that would have mandated the action. Why?
Because Rep. Roger Hunt, R-Brandon, offered an amendment to the bill that would have required the Department of Health to include information from the state's 2005 task force on abortion as part of information about emergency contraception. Another Hunt amendment would have defined pregnancy as starting at conception.
Because of these amendments, the bill died … and so did truth, once again.
