Week in Review – FACE Act Resurfaces in Charges Against Pro-Lifers; President’s Budget Leaves Room for Abortion
On Wednesday, March 30, The New York Times profiled the circumstances regarding nine pro-lifers who are facing federal charges for blockading an abortion facility in Washington, DC.
In October 2020, the nine pro-lifers were arrested for reportedly forcing their way into the facility and using chairs and ropes to block people from entering the “treatment” areas.
Among the various charges, the pro-lifers have been accused of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act). The FACE Act was signed into law during the Clinton Administration in 1994 and prohibits three actions:
1. The use of physical force, threat of physical force, or physical obstruction to intentionally injure, intimidate, interfere with or attempt to injure, intimidate or interfere with any person who is obtaining reproductive health services or providing reproductive health services.
2. The use of physical force, threat of physical force, or physical obstruction to intentionally injure, intimidate, interfere with or attempt to injure, intimidate or interfere with any person who is exercising or trying to exercise their First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship.
3. The intentional damage or destruction of a reproductive health care facility or a place of worship.
For the nine pro-lifers facing charges, the prosecutors will assumedly draw from the first part of the FACE Act.
According to the Times article, the FACE Act mostly fell out of practice during the Trump Administration. Now, however, the article states, it’s back in use, with an interviewee stating that for pro-lifers who block clinics “there will be consequences as long as Biden is in office.”
Perhaps even more noteworthy is the second section of the FACE Act, which bars people from disrupting anyone who is exercising his or her freedom of religion at a place of worship.
It seems that this part of the FACE Act is not as important to the justice system, even though reports and accounts of people disrupting church services seems to be on the rise.
Sadly, with the president’s newest budget proposal, it has been revealed that the Hyde Amendment has been cut. The Hyde Amendment prohibits federal money from directly reimbursing abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood for the cost of abortion procedures.
This decision proves, once again, that “Catholic” president Joe Biden is more interested in killing babies than he is in practicing his faith.

Video of the Week – Classroom Sex Education is DANGEROUS!
Florida has banned discussions of human sexuality and gender identity in early classroom education. The truth is, any discussion of sexuality with school children is dangerous, yet no one is talking about that. The national discussion has focused on parents’ rights, rather than on protecting the child’s mental health. In the video below, we explain the dangers of introducing children to discussions of sex. We do hope you share it so that other parents will understand why classroom sex education is a danger to children.
Action Item of the Week – On Sale Now! Get Your Lenten Reflections for 2022
ALL’s Culture of Life Studies Program’s 49-page daily Lenten reflection booklet focuses on the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Each day’s entry begins with a Bible verse that discusses one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We then offer a brief reflection of this verse. After that, we write a short biography of the saint of the day and explain how that saint used the gifts of the Holy Spirit to build a culture of life. We follow that up with suggestions for how you can use this example to build a culture of life in your own home or community. Finally, we provide a suggestion for a short activity that you can partake in to further your understanding or knowledge of Church history or teaching.
God’s greatest gift to us was Christ’s death and resurrection. This redemptive act was for you, for me, and for all of us so that we could spend eternity with Him.

Pro-life Social Media – XXX
From time to time, our Inbox gets requests from creators asking us to feature their artistry, be it music, poetry, or animation. While some of the material is good, we generally don’t have a means of sharing the submissions. But we can link to the pro-life art that others have posted on Instagram. So, we sifted through a few hashtags to find the creations that are genuinely original, inspiring, and worth sharing.
The artist that goes by Tigerlilly With Love creates personalized keepsakes for mothers grieving over the loss of a preborn child, particularly if the loss was very early in pregnancy. We’re struck by the realism of the tiny people in the hearts. Be assured that they’re not real people inside the resin.
