The Twelve Days of Christmas

By Judie Brown

We are now in the midst of the Twelve Days of Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ and the wonders of a season filled with hope and promise. For us this season is a special reminder of the tremendous successes we had during an eventful 2016.

It is because of the diligence and collaboration of our programs that American Life League has much to celebrate, appreciate, and praise God for as we move forward into the new year.

Our Culture of Life Studies Program has made tremendous gains this year, publishing among other things the first ever 3-part video series dedicated to answering the question “Who Was the Real Margaret Sanger?” This program, entitled Who Was the Real Margaret Sanger?, has received rave reviews and is set to be viewed by more than 10,000 students as they travel to the March for Life from various locations across our nation. What makes this video series and accompanying teacher guide so unique is that it is both historically accurate and honest about the terrible results that have come from the history of a woman and her organization, Planned Parenthood—both of which were and are committed to death, sterility, and sex outside of marriage.

In addition to the Sanger series, CLSP has numerous other exciting projects for a variety of age groups. For kindergarten through grade three, there is Life Is Precious, Ladybug Warriors, and more. Our CLSP blog is chock full of education for parents, teachers, and others. And the Facebook page is constantly sharing ideas and projects, as well as helping average Americans understand the value of education based on truth.

CLSP’s mission of building a culture of life is achieved “by helping students to understand the value of every human being and by inspiring a new generation of young people who will defend preborn children, respect all human beings from creation to death, and speak the truth with confidence in defense of the innocent.”

Of course, that is the same mission that has defined American Life League and our programs from the beginning. This is so because without helping others value and cherish the innocent and the vulnerable from inception to death, we run the risk of allowing the horrors of the culture of death to continue to devour the very soul of our nation.

This fact inspires our youth outreach program Life Defenders to engage college students and older high school students in opportunities and events designed to help their peers “See Dignity” in others. See Dignity provides every person, adolescent, college student, and others to use small acts of kindness toward others as a way of extending the goal of building a culture of life by being good to those in need. The smallest action, smile, or pat on the back can always make a huge difference in the life of someone who needs affirmation. And such actions can and do save lives. In addition, Life Defenders is organizing National Pro-Life T-Shirt Day 2017 and invites you to become involved, buy your shirts, and prepare to join in solidarity as we proclaim that all human beings are precious, valuable, and deserving of our respect and love. Defending life is at the core of building a culture of life.

There is no program at American Life League that understands this better than Stop Planned Parenthood International. This is so because over the years we have learned that Planned Parenthood and its founder Margaret Sanger have never been above breaking the law to get what they want. STOPP founder Jim Sedlak wrote recently: “Planned Parenthood is an organization that, since its very beginning, has had no respect for the law. It does what it wants and only uses existing laws when it suits its advantage. As PBS commented on Planned Parenthood’s founder: ‘Margaret Sanger believed that the only way to change the law was to break it.’”

But lo and behold, Planned Parenthood is losing its war on the preborn! While that organization has been killing the preborn and deceiving women, it is slowly losing its grip as STOPP works tirelessly with local groups around our nation to close down Planned Parenthood and remove its poison from our classrooms. Yes, PP works by subverting man’s laws, but we work to uphold God’s laws, and that is why we are winning the struggle against Planned Parenthood and its culture of death cohorts.

During these Twelve Days of Christmas we celebrate the united effort of our own Culture of Life Studies Program, Life Defenders, and Stop Planned Parenthood International to build a culture of life by carefully dismantling and exposing the culture of death.

As we have long believed, shining the light of truth in the darkness always has a joyful result. Enjoy these Twelve Days of Christmas and become a light. We will show you how!
