Right, conservative or deceptive?

A recent news report states "the Christian right" or "social conservative interest" groups are not very pleased with Senator Bill Frist, a man who is alleged to be on their side.

What is a "Christian right" group? Is that a group that is both Christian and conservative in name? Right about what? Is there really such a thing as a "social conservative interest" group that is also a "Christian right" group?

I don't know about you, but as far as I am concerned, what we need to be doing is avoiding the labels and getting down to the heart of the matter, which is simply this: either a group is with the Lord and his Word, or it is not. And if a group that purports to be in line with God's teaching suggests that tolerating Frist's disinterest in ending the murder of preborn innocent babies can be offset by other "issues," then what we are really dealing with is a "Christian wrong" that has chosen politics over truth.

The article from which I took the amorphous descriptions of Christian activitists suggests that everyone will forgive Frist once he takes up the question of protecting Boy Scout groups from lawsuits. Now, really! What has that got to do with ending the slaughter of the innocents?
