Always interesting to see a former debate partner of mine coming out with an honest statement. Such is the case with former president of Planned Parenthood, Faye Wattleton.
According to a recent article, "The feminist furor has finally passed," Wattleton asked some women whether or not they thought that keeping abortion legal was a major concern. And lo and behold, the women, at least a majority of them, said no.
Maybe this is why South Dakota's ban on medical and surgical abortion and the Michigan personhood amendment are resonating so well with average Americans. Perhaps it has finally come to pass in America that zealotry is passe when the point of it is killing kids.
