“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
I often think of these words from the Declaration of Independence as I look into the eyes of my beautiful 8-year-old daughter Chloe and struggle to shed light on the silent eugenic movement against children diagnosed prenatally with Down syndrome. The founding fathers recognized the absolute truth that there can be no liberty or pursuit of happiness without the unalienable right to life, and that is why life is listed first. The prenatal massacre of children with Down syndrome is currently at 90 percent, and with a new non-invasive prenatal test being introduced shortly and recommended for all women, this number will only increase.
On 10/12/11, at a banquet attended by 600 people, Chloe received the PA Pro-Life Leadership Award for the advocacy work she has done and continues to do showing humanity what awesome blessings children with Down syndrome are to a very misguided world. Chloe showcased her incredible ABILITIES to everyone who attended, and she was presented the award by former PA senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum.
Senator Santorum is a true champion for life and an unwavering defender of our most vulnerable citizens, and his actions unquestionably show that he embraces all life as a priceless gift from our Creator.
I would encourage all to become familiar with Senator Santorum’s moving and emotional family story, and this nation desperately needs leadership that embraces and protects all human life from the moment of [biological beginning] when our Creator clearly has a plan for the pursuit of liberty and happiness: Psalm 139:13 “You Knit Me Together in My Mother’s Womb” and Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the Womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
No amount of money will ever replace the 50 million citizens terminated in this country since 1973, and the only thing that needs to be stimulated is a culture of life to replace our current culture of death. Unborn children like Chloe desperately need all Americans to raise their voices to end this prenatal genocide before Down syndrome moves from the endangered species list to extinction.
This is a spiritual battle for the very soul and life of our One Nation under God and Chloe has very conclusively shown the world that her unalienable right to life has planted countless positive seeds as she uses her liberty to pursue and spread happiness.
Kurt Kondrich is the father of a beautiful daughter who has Down syndrome and who has been a priceless blessing to his family and community. When Kurt became aware of the higher than 90 percent abortion rate for children prenatally diagnosed with Down syndrome, he literally could not sleep at night. In early August 2008, he had a disturbing dream about people with disabilities being exterminated and, after praying, he came up with the name SADSIN (Stop Aborting Down Syndrome Individuals Now) for a web site to defend and protect children with Down syndrome. He has since embarked on a mission to make sure people are aware of this genocide. He wants people to see the beautiful faces of our kids and realize the priceless blessings and gifts they are to a society that has lost focus.
