A long time ago — 1965 to be exact — medical professionals began the practice of redefining when a woman actually became pregnant. Even though her baby begins at conception/fertilization, the "professionals" declared that pregnancy did not begin until the baby had implanted. The naive public either did not understand this rhetorical ridiculousness or opted to accept it because doing so made it easier to swallow the pill.
Folks, not much has changed in the intervening 40 years. Today the American Medical Association announced that it would press for a requirement that every pharmacist, regardless of his conscience, be required to either fill presecriptions for such deadly pills or refer patients to someone who would. In other words, if you are a pharmacist and you know from the clinical evidence that the pill (including morning-after pills) can kill, you either have to ignore what you know and fill the prescription or make sure the patient is sent to someone who will.
And here we all thought that doctors were supposed to help people get well by treating illness. Who would have thought that the AMA would be pressing for pharmacists to walk with them in lockstep as they advance the culture of death? Maybe the AMA needs healing.
