UN POPULATION CONTROL FUNDING: President Bush has temporarily delayed funding to the United Nations Population Fund, which promotes coercive abortion, sterilization and contraception programs. In its foreign operations bill, Congress has earmarked up to $34 million for UNFPA. However, the president can decide to withhold any or all of that amount.
