Rock for Life Leader and 'One Last Day' Author Confronts Teen Pregnancy at Infamous Robeson High by Katie Walker Released October 29, 2009
Washington, D.C. (29 October 2009) – The Windy City has another champion for human personhood in Cutter Lang, the new Chicago Rock for Life chapter leader, author and musician.
Lang's award winning first novel, One Last Drive, featured a foreword by Chicago Bears Super Bowl coach, Mike Ditka. His first nonfiction book, Redemption, shared his experience in counseling after being sexually assaulted. While in counseling, Cutter discovered that the morning after pill, which his girlfriend had taken, is abortive. This led to his third project, Empowerment.
Only a week after officially receiving recognition as a Rock for Life chapter, Lang zeroed in on Chicago’s Robeson High School. At Robeson, one in seven girls is either pregnant or has already given birth.
Working with high school staff and local crisis pregnancy center Aid for Women, Cutter set up a referral program so these young mothers have access to life-affirming, chastity-promoting mentors.
“With the start of every new Rock for Life chapter, American Life League’s personhood message blankets the nation with truth,” said Kortney Blythe, chapter coordinator for Rock for Life. “When someone of esteem joins the Rock for Life team, the sphere of influence extends even further. We’re inspired by Lang’s enthusiasm for life, his understanding of the dignity of the human person and we’re excited to welcome Lang and Chicago Rock for Life to the RFL family.”
Rock for Life, a project of American Life League, works with hundreds of bands and thousands of pro-life youth who use music as a means to engage, educate and equip our culture to be advocates for life. LIFE. - not for judgment, not for control, for a better world.
